"The Fall of an Apple!!!"

Autumn,
the time of fall.
Golden leaves
spreading on my lawn.
Barren branches
getting ready for snow.

There stood,
a lonely apple tree.
Emptying herself
to welcome winter.

And I saw,
the last apple fall.
As red as a blush
As shiny as love
'Thud'
it fell on the grass,
blending green with gold
and red on the ground.

Through the window,
I saw the apple fall.
Red and glossy
like my window curtains
drawn to both the sides
only to see, the apple fall.
It rolled only a little
and laid calm on the grass.

Fanciful,
was my mind
in the sunny cold clime.
Bearfooted,
I ran through
the wet uncut grass.

Hold on!!!
A phrase borrowed
not finding the right words.

'On the spur of the moment'
I was down to reality.
Seeing one side of the apple,
rotten and bitten by worms.
Disgusting and filthy, like my life.
Giving itself for birds to feed.
Dying of the pain from bird bites.
Rolled only a little with pain.
Died calmly on the grass.

'Clup'
tears fell from my eyes
flowing down my cheeks
to fall on the rotten apple.

Yea, it was a fall
and that was a rotten apple!!!

Don't let your life be bitten by worms ! But if your life can give relief to one bird's hunger, and if you are giving yourself to the bird's hunger wholeheartedly, what else you need in your life !!!

A Life living for others (another) is thousands times better than a life living for ourselves. So be proud that you could do something in your life !!!

Let that tears be the tears of happiness and proud !! :)

It 's not a rotten apple, its an apple who gave relief to a bird's hunger... an apple who lived for someone else ... :)

There was a lot assurance and hope showered in your comments, robs!! Thankx a lot. I'm glad you liked it.
I've sticked onto dark poetry and is continuing on the same line, dont know for what reason. But as long as it's producing good results, I'm happy!!!

It is an undisputable fact that literary works will always have reflection of the life of the writer - particularly when they are written in first person. It will give some sort of relief to the writer that through the poem he could pour out his heart. But try not to be negative or self condemning.

Since most of the dark poetries reflect real life it had made some excellent works... just like some works of our own Changapuzha... but my view is that it should not reflect in real life (unlike changapuzha):)

I think it can be avoided to some extent by writing in third person. But it may cause to lose the beauty of your writing and may not be so effective as your works in first person. :(

"THE RISE OF AN APPLE"

Give the birds who come,
To feed on you,
No landing branch.
Ask them demons to take
The long flight back.

Dip the apple
Into the Ganges that flows
Deep inside you.
And once the wounds are healed
Embrace life's fairies like a child.

For you are way too precious,
To become bird food.
For you are way too angelic,
To walk the path you are now on.
